Role Description
Test and validate prototype firmware across existing and new vehicle platforms
Collaborate with design and system engineers to identify assembly, serviceability, and usability issues
Drive, test, and evaluate engineering prototypes to collect performance, functional, and user-experience data
Troubleshoot infotainment, firmware, electrical, and system-level issues and develop clear reproduction steps
Service and maintain instrumentation systems, firmware interfaces, and vehicle wire harnesses
Precisely document test cases, issues, improvements, and troubleshooting steps
Core Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of relevant automotive, prototype, systems, or validation experience
Hands-on proficiency with wiring, sensor installation, and electrical system checkout
Ability to diagnose wiring, firmware, and system-level issues
Strong QA and testing mindset with a customer-first perspective
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; ability to follow step-by-step procedures with precision
Familiarity with issue tracking tools and structured documentation practices
Basic computer proficiency for diagnostics, issue reporting, and command execution
Ability to execute commands or scripts in a Linux terminal to gather diagnostic data
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability and desire to rapidly learn new tools, skills, and technologies in a fast-paced environment
Proven excellence in past roles with creativity in solving mechanical or technical problems
Education & Certifications
Degree in Automotive Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field preferred
ASE Certification or equivalent technical certification a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with fully electric vehicles
Professional motorsports or high-performance vehicle experience
Fabrication and advanced wiring experience
Ability to analyze firmware features from a customer perspective to identify vulnerabilities
