Senior UI Designer
6+ month contract

The UI Designer will collaborate closely with UX designers, developers and SCaFT product teams to deliver innovative solutions to enhance user experience and continuously improve the design system. Focus will be on the development and maintenance of design system and component library, ensuring consistency and efficiency across our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a comprehensive design system that includes UI components, patterns, style guides and guidelines to ensure consistency across products.
- Create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and specifications for UI components that are intuitive and user-friendly.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate on components and improve usability and accessibility.
- Document design principles, usage guidelines, and best practices for the design system to facilitate adoption across teams.
- Stay informed about industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance the design system and component library.
- Work closely with developers to ensure the accurate implementation of designs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in UI design, with a focus on design systems and component libraries.
- Proficiency in Figma, Zeroheight, Storybook and Github.
- Experienced in Agile delivery method and managing deliverables in JIRA.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving skills, and final deliverables.
- Solid understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and layout.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
- Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
- Knowledge of Web Frameworks/Libraries (React, Material UI and Chart.js) and Code Settings (TypeScript, ESLint and Vite) is a plus.
Estimated Min Rate: $50.50
Estimated Max Rate: $60.00
