Required Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in transmission engineering, with 5+ years preferred.
- Strong knowledge of civil/structural engineering techniques, codes (NESC, NERC, FERC), and standards.
- Proficiency with design software such as CAD and PLS-CADD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze, problem-solve, and apply critical thinking in complex environments.
- Experience in preparing specifications, technical bid summaries, and reports.
- Prior consulting experience in transmission or civil engineering projects.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or EIT certification.
- Experience performing economic conductor selection, grounding calculations, and lightning performance studies.
- Knowledge of project management and client communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or related Engineering Technology; a Master’s in Civil Engineering is a plus.
- At least 3 years of relevant transmission engineering experience, with a preference for 5+ years.
- Hands-on experience with project design, field inspections, and technical report compilation.
- Ability to travel up to 10% for project site visits.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to work in both office and field environments.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and timely project delivery.
