Location:  Northeast: Primarily Tri-State area
Approximate 50% Regional Travel - 2 to 4 days/week (some overnight)
Compensation:

• Base Salary: $65,000–$80,000
• Bonus & Commission: Estimated $15,000–$20,000
• Additional Benefits: Vehicle program, travel perks, relocation assistance, health & retirement package

Position Overview
Yoh is seeking a Technical Customer Support Specialist to support survey operations for a leading civil engineering client. This hybrid role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in surveying who enjoy client-facing work and technical problem-solving. The specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for customer support, training, and technical demonstrations, working closely with sales and service teams to ensure successful product adoption.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions pre- and post-sale.
• Troubleshoot geospatial hardware/software issues and coordinate with internal teams.
• Develop training materials including guides, videos, and documentation.
• Support sales staff during discovery calls and solution development.
• Maintain service records and client interactions using CRM platforms.
• Stay current with surveying technologies including GPS, robotics, and laser scanning.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in surveying, project management, or a related technical role
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Experience training clients or providing technical support.
• Hands-on familiarity with surveying instruments; Trimble experience preferred.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the Northeast.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in GIS, 3D scanning, LIDAR, or geospatial technologies.
• Experience working with distributors or construction technology providers.
• Exposure to technical pre-sales or sales support.

Estimated Max Rate: $80000.00
