We are seeking a Staff Embedded Platform Software Engineer to join our ADAS / Autonomous Driving Platform Software team. This role is for a senior technical leader who will define, architect, and deliver secure, high performance embedded platforms that underpin next-generation automotive systems.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Linux/QNX BSP development, hardware bring-up, and embedded security, along with the ability to lead complex technical initiatives across hardware, systems, and software teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for embedded platform software used in ADAS and autonomous driving systems
• Own and drive end-to-end platform initiatives from early bring-up through production readiness
• Lead board bring-up, SoC enablement, and low-level driver architecture for critical peripherals
• Define and guide camera bring-up, ISP integration, and video pipeline architecture
• Architect and oversee secure video streaming solutions, including video codecs and secure RTP pipelines
• Partner with hardware, systems, safety, security, and application teams to resolve cross-domain technical challenges
• Influence platform standards, best practices, and long-term technical roadmaps
• Mentor and technically guide engineers, raising overall team capability
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in embedded software development for complex, safety- or performance critical systems
• Expert-level proficiency in C/C++
• Deep hands-on experience with Linux and/or QNX kernel, BSP, and platform software development
• Strong background in board bring-up and device driver development, including I2C, UART, SPI, PCIe, RGMII, SGMII, and camera ISPs
• Experience working with real-time operating systems and real-time constraints
Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced C++ system-level and application-level design experience
• Proven experience contributing to ADAS or autonomous driving platforms
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and influence hardware schematics, datasheets, and system designs
• Experience with bootloaders, secure boot, firmware update strategies, and UDS diagnostics
• Deep understanding of embedded security architectures, including cryptographic hardware, key management, certificate lifecycles, and secure provisioning
• Experience influencing technical decisions across teams without direct authority
