The Project Engineer is responsible for managing complex infrastructure projects from early concept through execution and closeout. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, overseeing schedules and budgets, and serving as a primary liaison with external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead projects from initial concept through engineering, procurement, construction, and final closeout
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects, including high-voltage transmission and substation initiatives across a wide range of system voltages
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and technical teams to identify project interdependencies and develop integrated execution and construction sequencing plans
  • Track and manage detailed project financials in coordination with the project team
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules with support from scheduling resources
  • Apply a structured project management lifecycle to ensure consistent documentation, execution, and delivery across projects
  • Utilize technical education and engineering background to effectively manage scope, risk, and execution challenges
  • Act as the primary point of contact with project owners and stakeholders, supporting coordination, planning, scope management, and budget oversight
  • Provide overall project leadership across disciplines including siting, environmental and permitting activities, planning, estimating, engineering, right-of-way acquisition, project controls, procurement, constructability reviews, materials management, and construction management
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional engineering design experience on design-only and/or EPC projects (internship experience does not qualify)
  • Fewer than 3 years of relevant experience does not meet the minimum requirement for this role
  • Five or more years of relevant transmission and distribution experience is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, coordinate across disciplines, and drive projects to successful completion

Estimated Min Rate: $55.00
Estimated Max Rate: $65.00
