The Senior Risk Analyst is responsible for evaluating, monitoring, and mitigating organizational risk across operational, financial, and compliance areas. This role combines hands-on analytical work with strategic risk oversight to support informed decision-making and protect the organization’s assets, performance, and reputation. Working directly with senior leadership, the Senior Risk Analyst develops risk mitigation strategies, oversees data analysis efforts, and ensures effective governance across programs and business functions.
Experience working in actuarial analysis, reinsurance, or within the automotive third-party administration (TPA) ecosystem is strongly preferred, as well as experience collaborating with insurance carriers and supporting state and lender rate filings.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments across operational, financial, regulatory, and strategic areas.
• Conduct detailed vehicle class analysis to assess program performance and loss exposure.
• Monitor program and vehicle class performance monthly, identifying trends, variances, and anomalies.
• Recommend pricing adjustments based on loss ratios, performance metrics, and market dynamics.
• Partner with insurance carriers on pricing strategies, program changes, and risk-sharing models.
• Prepare and submit rate filings for state regulatory review and lender approval.
• Support audits and internal control reviews; recommend improvements to enhance governance.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and insurance teams to address contractual and regulatory risks.
• Track regulatory updates and support revisions to policies and procedures as needed.

• Produce accurate monthly reporting for programs, producers, agents, and dealer groups.
• Manage ad hoc reporting requests and complete root cause analysis for data irregularities.
• Translate business and compliance needs into clear data requirements for analytics and IT teams.
• Maintain strong data governance practices, including accuracy, security, and retention standards.

• Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on analytical methods and risk evaluation.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects focused on risk mitigation and operational improvements.
• Act as a liaison between business teams and leadership on risk-related matters.
• Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.

 
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, risk management, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in risk management, compliance, actuarial analysis, or similar functions.
• Experience in actuarial, reinsurance, automotive TPA, or insurance carrier environments required.
• Strong background in vehicle class performance analysis and pricing strategy recommendations.
• Proven experience preparing and filing rates for state regulatory approval and lender approval.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and business intelligence tools (Python or R is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of compliance, regulatory frameworks, and governance best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder partnership skills.
