Our client is a leading cosmetic manufacturer specializing in personal care products, proudly located in Southern California—a vibrant hub for the beauty industry. They are actively seeking a Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join their growing team and help ensure compliance across global markets. This individual will manage and prepare formula-related documentation, including IL, SDS, QQ, and testing coordination based on customer need. Oversee regulatory compliance for EU PIF/dossiers and other international markets (Canada, ASEAN, UAE, etc.). As well as oversee regulatory aspects of safety, quality, and labeling. This individual will need to have perviously worked within the cosmetic or personal industry.

 Sr. Regulatory Affairs Specialist - Cosmetics
Location:  Los Angeles, CA
Type:  Direct Hire
Schedule:  Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and prepare formula-related documentation, including IL, SDS, QQ, and testing coordination based on customer needs.
  • Ensure product compliance with U.S. regulations and prepare export registration documents upon request.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance for EU PIF/dossiers and other international markets (Canada, ASEAN, UAE, etc.).
  • Collect and maintain regulatory data from vendors (TDS, SDS, CofA, ingredient breakdowns, impurity profiles).
  • Support R&D with ingredient compliance, authorized usage levels, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare Certificates of Free Sale and BSE.
  • Stay current on regulations related to raw materials, packaging, labeling claims, OSHA, CARB, and more.
  • Participate in audits and support new accreditations (e.g., NSF, USDA).
  • Validate procedures and oversee regulatory aspects of safety, quality, labeling, and advertising.
  • Collaborate with global regulatory and quality teams to support ISO and cGMP systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology preferred)
  • Experience in cosmetics and contract manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of international regulatory standards and documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
