Position Summary
Responsible for performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support activities on semiconductor equipment and automated material handling systems. This role supports customers onsite, performs hardware and software diagnostics, analyzes logs, resolves technical issues, and serves as a liaison between customers and engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will have semiconductor field service or maintenance experience, strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform maintenance and repair activities on multiple products and systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system-level issues.
- Perform log analysis and diagnostics to identify root causes.
- Analyze software revisions and system documentation.
- Install software updates and verify system functionality.
- Support customer operations and maintenance activities.
- Work closely with engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Recommend technical solutions and corrective actions.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and engineering.
- Train customer technicians and internal field service personnel.
- Create and update technical procedures and documentation.
- Complete technical reports and service documentation accurately.
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams.
- Present technical information clearly and effectively.
- Maintain a strong customer service mindset.
Education
- Associate Degree preferred
- Technical School Certification accepted
- Military Technical Training accepted
- 4+ years of field service, maintenance, or semiconductor equipment experience
- Experience troubleshooting electromechanical equipment
- Experience working directly with customers in a technical environment
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Mechanical troubleshooting
- Reading electrical schematics and blueprints
- Hardware and software diagnostics
- Log analysis
