Overview: We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Developer to support and optimize a newly implemented SharePoint Online environment. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in resolving current technical issues, designing and implementing new workflows, and guiding the team on SharePoint best practices. This role requires both strong technical expertise and the ability to provide knowledge transfer to internal staff for long-term sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve existing SharePoint Online issues, including:
    • Search functionality not working as intended
    • Permissions improperly configured
    • Unexpected changes in the environment
  • Design, build, and optimize SharePoint workflows to support business needs.
  • Provide guidance on SharePoint Online best practices for structure, permissions, and governance.
  • Collaborate with corporate IT administrators to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to train internal staff and ensure continuity after project completion.
  • Document solutions, workflows, and configurations for future reference.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a SharePoint Developer with expertise in SharePoint Online(cloud).
  • Proven ability to design and implement Power Automate / SharePoint workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with permissions, search functionality, and environment configuration.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint governance, security, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Experience in knowledge transfer, training, or mentoring.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a consulting or contract role where fixing/optimizing existing SharePoint implementations was required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem(Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform).
  • Ability to identify risks, propose solutions, and proactively improve the environment.
