Compensation:  $65-85/hour
Type:  12-Month Contract

Overview We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Marketing Automation to design, build, and support automation solutions that improve efficiency across Ad Operations and Growth Marketing teams. This role partners closely with engineering, operations leadership, and external development teams to deliver scalable tools that streamline campaign setup, monitoring, and reporting across multiple media platforms.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a strong blend of automation, ad technology, and modern web development experience.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and support scripts, programs, and applications that drive automation and operational efficiency for Ad Operations and Growth Marketing teams
  
  
• Partner with a full-time engineer to gather requirements, implement new automation, solicit feedback, and deliver iterative improvements
  
  
• Scope and execute assigned deliverables for automation initiatives, documenting outcomes for handoff and ongoing support
  
  
• Coordinate with external development teams to support onboarding and ongoing maintenance of a proprietary automation platform
  
  
• Collaborate with Ad Operations Managers and Directors to automate campaign setup, performance monitoring, reporting, and other operational workflows across multiple media platforms
  
  
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase reliability, speed, and scalability
  
  
• Stay current with trends in advertising technology, automation tools, and programming languages
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in ad operations, ad technology, marketing technology, or automation-focused engineering roles
  
  
• Strong scripting and programming experience with an emphasis on automation
  
  
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript, including building automation scripts and production-ready applications
  
  
• Experience developing front-end applications using React and Next.js
  
  
• Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining production code using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Janus, or similar platforms
  
  
• Experience working within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments, including application deployment with App Engine, data storage using Firestore and Cloud SQL, asynchronous task orchestration with Cloud Tasks, event-driven messaging systems such as Pub/Sub, secure credential management with Secret Manager, and access control using IAM
  
  
• Experience implementing and iterating on operational processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability
  
  
• Experience working with advertising platform APIs (e.g., campaign management, ad serving, or reporting APIs) preferred
  
  
• Familiarity with workflow management and documentation tools such as Airtable or similar platforms preferred
  
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  
  

Estimated Min Rate: $59.50
Estimated Max Rate: $85.00
