Senior Research Scientist, Cell-Based Assay
Yoh is seeking a driven and skilled cell biologist to contribute to the development and execution of in vitro assays. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in high-throughput, plate-based assay formats (such as CTG, HTRF, and NanoBRET), microscopy, and laboratory automation. This position requires hands-on experience in a laboratory setting.

Compensation: $55-65/hour (based upon experience)
Type:  Contract 12-months 



Key Responsibilities

• Execute weekly cell-based biological assays as part of screening cascades; deliver high-quality data reports.
• Design, develop, and validate relevant cellular assays for drug candidate profiling, including: Viability assays, Reporter gene assays, Target engagement, and mechanism of action (MoA) studies (e.g., fluorescence microscopy, NanoDLR, NanoBRET)
• Analyze experimental data using curve-fitting software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, CDD).
• Support multiple discovery programs simultaneously, balancing tasks across project teams.
• Operate in alignment with company values, operational policies, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• PhD (0–2+) or MS (6+) years industry experience in a relevant biological or scientific discipline.
• Proven expertise in mammalian cell culture and cell-based assay development.
• Hands-on experience performing and developing plate and cell-based assays is required
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, organization, planning, and scientific communication.
• Background in small molecule drug discovery or a closely related academic field is strongly preferred.
• Desirable experience includes: microscopy, Laboratory automation and/or programming for data analysis.
• Experience externalizing assays and CRO management is a plus.

Estimated Min Rate: $45.50
Estimated Max Rate: $65.00
