Senior Payroll Specialist (Healthcare)

Senior Payroll Specialist (Healthcare) needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Fairfield, CA

Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Minimum four-five (4-5) years of experience in Payroll Processing and Benefits within a healthcare setting
• Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform a variety of intricate accounting functions necessary for the accurate calculation of wages and benefits, maintenance of records and allocation of payroll reporting for funds withheld and disbursed.
• Coordinates, validates and implements work procedures that require a comprehensive operational knowledge of Federal and State regulations as related to wage garnishment, taxation and wage-hour law.
• Perform advanced analytical and technical work within specialized areas of payroll.
• Perform additional duties as required.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or any combination of education, training, and/or experience (accounting, math, statistics, or related subjects).
• Minimum four-five (4-5) years of experience in Payroll Processing and Benefits within a healthcare setting
• Lawson, KRONOS, accounting or bookkeeping experience strongly preferred  
• Working knowledge of wage & hour laws, and Federal & State tax regulations.
• Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
• Excellent Microsoft Office, Lawson, MHC, and ImageNow skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with computerized ledger systems – 10-key calculator by touch.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team setting
