As as successful candidate you will have experience in a legal or contracting function at an asset manager, financial institution or large corporate and experience in technology applications
What You Will Be Doing
- Primarily assist with contracting and documentation for support of Client Platform including drafting, reviewing and negotiating investment management agreements, amendments, ancillary documentation, RFPs and non-disclosure agreements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Advisory Legal team and business development and relationship management professionals.
- Collaborate with other members of the Legal team as necessary in connection with contracting work.
- Assisting with complex issues arising on documentation and helping to establish controls and processes where required.
- Support the development and implementation of technology solutions in relation to the contracting process, including AI and Microsoft Suite Power Apps.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of legal processes, design and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Business, Finance, or a related field, with experience supporting legal or contracting functions in financial services.
- Experience in a legal or contracting function at an asset manager, financial institution or large corporate and experience in technology applications
- Interest in the implementation of legal technology and process design and improvement
- Good business judgement, and strong collaboration skills.
- Pragmatic and risk aware approach to contracting and co-ordination and collaboration within the Legal team and wider business.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively distill and communicate complex issues in a dynamic environment
- The character and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Language skills would be an asset, but not a requirement
