You will own and execute the company’s end-to-end procurement strategy across raw materials, packaging, and indirect spend. This leader is responsible for delivering measurable financial impact, strengthening supplier performance, and ensuring supply continuity in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
This position is for a full-service contract manufacturer that develops and produces cosmetic, skincare, fragrance, and personal care products for other brands, and they are looking for candidates with 5–7+ years of progressive procurement or strategic sourcing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Salary:$100,000 - $130,000
Location: Full-time, Monday–Friday. Hybrid schedule: 4 days in office / 1 day remote.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Leadership
- Own procurement strategy, execution, performance, and results across the organization.
- Define and implement a sourcing roadmap aligned with growth plans, and margin objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team; set high standards for accountability and performance.
- Provide clear direction, coaching, and succession development.
- Build a culture of ownership, urgency, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Personally lead critical negotiations, supplier escalations, and cost-savings initiatives.
- Directly engage in high-impact projects.
- Balance strategic leadership with tactical involvement when the business requires it.
- Lead high-stakes negotiations to secure best-in-class pricing, payment terms, service levels, and supply assurances.
- Hold suppliers accountable for OTIF, quality, and responsiveness.
- Use market intelligence, benchmarks, and competitive dynamics to strengthen negotiating leverage.
- Develop strategic partnerships while maintaining commercial discipline.
- Strengthen procurement processes, controls, and documentation.
- Forecast demand, support inventory strategies, and protect supply continuity.
- Consistently drive ongoing cost reduction, productivity improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Oversee sourcing of innovative and sustainable materials aligned with company priorities.
- Partner with R&D, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Sales to ensure sourcing decisions support business goals.
- Provide leadership with clear financial modeling, risk assessments, and supplier metrics.
- Serve as a strategic advisor on market trends and supply risk.
- Own the procurement budget and deliver margin improvement.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate supplier and supply chain risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements.
- Promote a data-driven procurement organization by utilizing Excel, database tools, and reporting platforms to analyze spend, pricing structures, supplier performance, and cost drivers.
- Guide the development of formulas, dashboards, automation, and reporting that improve decision-making and visibility.
- Support the creation and maintenance of databases and analytical resources that enhance forecasting and negotiation readiness.
- Ensure ERP outputs are validated through sound analytics and business review.
- Translate data into clear, executive-level insights and recommendations.

Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of progressive procurement or strategic sourcing experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years leading teams in a senior leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated success delivering measurable cost savings and supplier performance improvement.
- Proven ability to both lead and personally execute.
- Strong business acumen and financial understanding.
Technical Requirements (Preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including experience with advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with Access or relational databases, with the ability to work with datasets outside of ERP environments.
- Experience leveraging analytical tools or team resources to support sourcing strategy, negotiations, and cost modeling.
- ERP and project management system experience required.
- Experience in beauty, personal care, CPG, or regulated manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CPSM/CSCP preferred.
