A leading biotechnology company is seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Database Programmer with strong electronic data capture (EDC) programming experience—particularly in optimizing the use of Veeva CDMS to support successful clinical trials.

This is an 18-month contract role paying between $80-$95 DOE

Job Description

  • Partner with lead data managers and study team members to review clinical protocol requirements and project specifications, applying both industry and Veeva CDMS best practices.

  • Lead database development activities according to the project implementation plan.

  • Configure forms, edit checks, rules, and other study design elements within Veeva CDMS.

  • Coordinate and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), manage feedback and issue resolution, and ensure timely study acceptance.

  • Support requirements gathering and documentation for study integrations and go-live activities, ensuring a seamless transition to production.

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to study teams—helping optimize trial design, train end users, and ensure full utilization of Veeva CDMS capabilities.

  • Identify and communicate potential risks and mitigation strategies to maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working with Veeva CDMS in end-to-end data management (database design, data collection, data analysis, query resolution, and dataset generation).

  • 5+ years of experience in the life sciences industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, CRO, or academic/public health settings), with deep familiarity in clinical data design, documentation, and collection processes.

  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high-quality output.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.



Estimated Min Rate: $80.00
Estimated Max Rate: $95.00
