We are looking for a seasoned Senior IT Project Manager to oversee complex technology initiatives involving enterprise integration, cloud transformation, and modernization. This position will manage projects that bring together applications, infrastructure, data, security, and business processes within a Microsoft Azure environment.
The successful candidate will be comfortable operating across both technical and business teams and will serve as the central point of coordination for architects, engineers, developers, security professionals, vendors, and organizational stakeholders. This individual will be responsible for maintaining project direction, managing dependencies and risks, and ensuring initiatives progress from planning through successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full project lifecycle for complex IT integration and modernization initiatives.
- Establish project plans, schedules, budgets, resource requirements, milestones, and communication strategies.
- Coordinate activities across application development, infrastructure, data, networking, cybersecurity, and business functions.
- Lead initiatives involving Azure, cloud migration, APIs, application connectivity, middleware, and enterprise data integration.
- Collaborate with technical architects, engineering teams, developers, business analysts, security teams, and external partners.
- Establish appropriate project governance, decision-making structures, milestones, and reporting processes.
- Track scope, schedule, budget, resource utilization, quality, and overall project health.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and potential delivery obstacles.
- Lead project meetings, working sessions, executive updates, steering committee meetings, and status reviews.
- Manage requirements, change control, scope adjustments, and stakeholder expectations throughout the project.
- Coordinate system testing, data validation, deployment preparation, cutover planning, and post-production activities.
- Ensure project execution aligns with organizational architecture, security, compliance, IT, and change management standards.
- Facilitate issue resolution and escalate critical risks or decisions when appropriate.
- Maintain project plans, documentation, status reports, and other governance materials.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- 8+ years of experience managing complex IT or technology projects.
- Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise integration, modernization, cloud, or systems transformation initiatives.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based technology environments.
- Experience coordinating initiatives involving multiple applications, systems, technical teams, or business functions.
- Working knowledge of SDLC and project delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, resources, vendors, risks, dependencies, and executive stakeholders.
- Strong technical understanding of enterprise applications, APIs, data movement, integrations, and cloud services.
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities within a complex, matrixed organization.
- PMP or comparable project management certification.
- Scrum, SAFe, or other Agile certification.
- Experience with Azure integration technologies such as Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Data Factory, Event Grid, or Azure Integration Services.
- Experience managing enterprise integrations involving ERP, CRM, data platforms, infrastructure, or other business-critical applications.
- Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, or automated testing environments.
- Experience leading cloud migration, application modernization, or hybrid-cloud programs.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet, or comparable project management platforms.
- Knowledge of ITIL, security controls, compliance requirements, and organizational change management.
