Job Title: Senior Accounting Specialist
Location: Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey
POSITION INFORMATION
Job Summary: Assist in the company’s financial closing process related to the general ledger accounts including balance sheet and profit & loss accounts in a timely manner. Maintain accuracy of company financial information while ensuring internal controls and procedures are followed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct general ledger activity related to client's business
o Journal entries
o Account reconciliations
o Account analysis
o Assist with financial statement preparation and submission to Parent company
• Maintain/update portfolio asset database system and use results to create robust reporting structure
• Comply with monthly, quarterly and annual public company reporting requirements
• Manage third party providers regarding accounting, account reconciliations and lease/loan administration system inquiries
• Coordinate daily dealer funding, including review of contracts and required supporting documentation
• Review and approve manual journal entries.
• Regular interaction with colleagues at factory/prompt response to inquiries required
• Calculate and review payoffs as requested by the business
• Verify all dealer finance commission payouts
• Assist with periodic state reporting requirements
• Handle tax request and annual audit requests.
• Ad hoc request and improvements as needed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Training Requirement:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/ or Finance
Experience:
• 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience required
• Experience with G/L functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Experience in auto industry accounting is a plus
• Finance company experience is a plus
• Public Accounting experience is a plus
Licenses/Certifications: CPA is highly desirable
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of Flexi financial software is a plus
• Thorough knowledge cost center and balance sheet analysis
• Knowledge of Financial statement flux analysis
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
Estimated Min Rate: $80000.00
Estimated Max Rate: $110000.00
