Senior Accountant

Yoh has an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have 4–5 years of progressive accounting experience and a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and IFRS. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and working in a dynamic, multi-entity environment.

Title:   Senior Accountant
Compensation: $60-85K (DOE) + Bonus
Type: Direct Hire/Permanent
Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid - 3 days/week onsite)
Industry: Financial

Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end close activities across a multi-currency, multi-entity environment, including preparing and posting journal entries for areas such as IT and general administrative expenses.
• Maintain the general ledger and review trial balances for accuracy.
• Prepare account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and assist in resolving open reconciling items.
• Conduct fluctuation analysis on balance sheets and income statements.
• Support internal reporting by preparing balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and ad-hoc financial reports.
• Assist with quarterly and year-end external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
• Maintain and update documentation for End User Computer Applications (EUCA) in compliance with internal policies.
• Participate in system upgrades and process improvement initiatives across the finance function.
• Identify control gaps and collaborate with management to implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with departments such as Accounts Payable, Payroll, Billing, Treasury, and Reconciliation to ensure a smooth and timely month-end close.
• Monitor and improve performance against internal benchmarks for efficiency and accuracy.
• Align day-to-day responsibilities with risk and control processes to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 4–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for improving broken or inefficient processes.
• High-level problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to connect financial data points.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with Oracle or similar accounting software is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines consistently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
