About the Opportunity
Yoh is seeking a Sales Representative to support a manufacturing organization in Rochester, NY. This role focuses on acquiring and retaining customer relationships, with an emphasis on the machining and manufacturing industry. This position is full-time and on-site; candidates must be local to Rochester, NY. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
Compensation
- Base salary range: $80,000 – $90,000, based on experience
- Performance-based commission tied to new customer acquisition, account growth, and overall sales revenue
- Actual compensation determined by experience and other factors permitted by New York Pay Transparency Law
- Prospect and generate new business using online research and outreach
- Prepare and present customized proposals highlighting technical solutions
- Conduct planned cold calls to develop new business opportunities
- Serve as primary point of contact for customers and maintain product knowledge
- Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Coordinate with internal teams to support product delivery and customer satisfaction
- Travel up to 20% to meet customers, deliver parts, attend trade shows, and represent the organization
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly processes
- Comfortable with cold calling and lead generation
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Valid NYS driver’s license and vehicle insurance required
- Willingness and ability to travel
