Research Scientist/Senior Research Scientist, Cell-Based Assays

Yoh is seeking a Research Scientist or Senior Research Scientist in the Cell-Based Assays group. This individual will contribute to the development and execution of robust cellular assays in support of a diverse small molecule drug discovery pipeline. The role is positioned within a highly collaborative Lead Discovery team that includes Bioassays, Biophysics, Structural Biology, and Protein Sciences.

Compensation:  $45-$60/hr (based upon experience)
Type:  12 month contract

Key Responsibilities

• Execute weekly cell-based biological assays as part of screening cascades; deliver high-quality data reports.
• Design, develop, and validate relevant cellular assays for drug candidate profiling, including: Viability assays, Reporter gene assays, Target engagement, and mechanism of action (MoA) studies (e.g., fluorescence microscopy, NanoDLR, NanoBRET)
• Analyze experimental data using curve-fitting software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, CDD).
• Support multiple discovery programs simultaneously, balancing tasks across project teams.
• Operate in alignment with company values, operational policies, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant biological or scientific discipline with 0–2+ years of postdoctoral/industry experience, or  MS with 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven expertise in mammalian cell culture and cell-based assay development.
• Strong skills in data analysis, experimental troubleshooting, and scientific communication.
• Background in small molecule drug discovery or a closely related academic field is strongly preferred.
• Desirable experience includes: Fluorescence microscopy, Laboratory automation and/or data analysis scripting.
• Experience externalizing assays and CRO management is a plus.

Estimated Min Rate: $42.00
Estimated Max Rate: $60.00
