Research Associate-Molecular & PCR
Primary Duties
:
The RA position will support molecular clinical testing, development, qualification, and validation of new testing of molecular methods in the Global Clinical Immunology (GCI) molecular platform group.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Research Associate is responsible for activities including, but not limited to, the following:
- Assay Development, qualification and validation
- Laboratory testing (Expertise with PCR, qPCR is required)
- Data review and approval
- Sample handling and inventory
- Lab housekeeping
- Equipment maintenance
- Reagent and consumable ordering and inventory
- Training analysts on new methods
- Ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained in the labs. Supporting the investigation and documentation of quality items including change controls, deviations and CAPAs.
- Experience with assay qualification and validation
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Specialized degree in biological sciences from an accredited University
- Minimum of 2yrs at previous level +
- B.Sc. + 2yr experience
- M.Sc. + 1yr experience
Key Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:
- Understanding of GXP practices and procedures required
- Experience with molecular clinical testing.
- Experience with molecular techniques specifically next-generation sequencing. Including amplicon and single cell RNA sequencing.
- Experience with automation.
- Experience with LIMS.
Estimated Min Rate: $21.00
Estimated Max Rate: $30.00
