This clinic offers occupational and preventative care for employees. Similar responsibilities to urgent care but more so focused on case management (80% of this job is case management). You must be comfortable working autonomously as you will be the only Nurse onsite working alongside a Medical Assistant.
--> Shifts: Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm and Tuesday/Thursday 1:00pm to 9:00pm (includes a 30 minute paid lunch)
Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of New Mexico
- Minimum (3) years' experience as a Nurse
- Previous experience in: Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, Corrections, School Nursing, and/or Family Medicine type setting
- Recent clinical experience and strong first-aid skills
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Nursing assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
- Primarily treat work-related injuries that consist of musculoskeletal issues (typically repetitive motion), chemical exposures, and occasionally an acute injury
- Case management
- Triage personal medical issues (but do not follow these or treat them - just assess, stabilize, and send to the next appropriate level of care)
- Vaccine administration
- Administer first-aid
- Documentation using multiple systems including EMR, MS Outlook, MS Teams, Calendars, etc.
- Medical monitoring: Pulmonary Function Test, review medical questionnaires, vision screening, audiometric testing
- Assist First Responders in medical emergencies
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- BLS/CPR certified (hands on - only online not accepted)
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
- Passionate about promoting health and wellbeing in the workplace
- Professional, dedicated, friendly, and helpful employee
- Strong attention-to-detail; follow very specific standards and guidelines for treating and documentation. Charts are audited to ensure appropriate documentation and compliance with OSHA recordkeeping
