Position Summary We are seeking a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) to join our Charlotte, NC office. This role involves the design, integration, and implementation of information and communications technology (ICT) systems for both new construction and renovation projects. Experience with Department of Defense facilities and an understanding of military-specific requirements is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement ICT systems for various facility types
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings and specifications
  • Apply electrical engineering techniques and adapt designs to meet project needs
  • Conduct site visits to assess and document existing conditions
  • Support project planning, design, and monitoring for specialized facilities
  • Assist in cost estimation and technical consulting for facility design and construction
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of ICT design experience with exposure to facility design
  • Current valid RCDD certification is required
  • Experience with military facility design is a plus
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and RCDD software
  • Strong knowledge of electrical building codes, NEC, and industry standards
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong client relationships
