Quality Engineer
Location: Holdrege, NE (Onsite)
Compensation:$43.00/Hr.
Employment Type: Contract – Initially approved for one year
(Conversion possible based on performance)

Position Overview:
 The Quality Engineer supports new product development and sustaining activities for medical devices. This role ensures products meet quality standards consistent with corporate and regulatory requirements, from inception through launch and maintenance. For sustaining activities, you will improve and control operational processes to achieve predictable product flow while meeting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise for product initiatives and determine resource needs.
• Apply quality engineering tools and principles (root cause analysis, FMEA, risk mitigation, validation, DOE, measurement systems, sampling, control plans).
• Develop solutions to routine problems of moderate scope.
• Ensure compliance with company quality policies and regulatory requirements.
• Represent Site Quality on product development and sustaining engineering.
• Monitor and analyze in-process inspection, process control activity, waste/reject rates, PM compliance, environmental control, and customer complaints.
• Approve protocols and reports for validation and change control activities.
• Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods for continuous improvement.

Basic Requirements

• B.S. degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or similar).
• 3+ years of Quality experience, including validation and quality engineering.
• Strong knowledge of statistical and problem-solving methodologies.
• Proficient in Minitab or similar statistical software, MS Word, Excel, and MS Project.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six Sigma Certification (desired).
• ASQ CQE certification.
• Working knowledge of 21 CFR 820, 210, 211, and ISO 13485.
• Project Management experience.
• Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Quality Auditor (preferred).
