Title: Quality Control Inspector
Location: Lewisville, TX – Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am-7:00pm (some flexibility)
Compensation:$26.00–$29.00/hour, depending on experience
Type: Contract
Responsibilities
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials, components, subassemblies, and finished products.
- Review engineering drawings, inspection instructions, sampling requirements, and workmanship standards to verify product conformance.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and electronic test equipment.
- Maintain accurate quality and receiving inspection records and enter inspection data into applicable systems.
- Identify and document nonconforming materials and support discrepancy reporting and resolution activities.
- Complete inventory and product transactions within Oracle, including product acceptance, delivery, and BOM-related activities.
- Prepare or support quality documentation such as inspection procedures, engineering change documentation, and discrepancy reports.
- Assist with training and providing guidance to less-experienced inspectors.
- Prioritize inspection activities based on production and operational requirements.
- Participate in problem-solving efforts and recommend opportunities to improve product quality and inspection processes.
- Follow applicable FDA, ISO, safety, quality system, and company requirements.
- 2+ years of Quality Control/Quality Inspection experience, preferably within medical device, manufacturing, or another regulated environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of GD&T
and dimensional inspection principles.
- Hands-on experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to independently perform a variety of quality inspection activities and appropriately prioritize workload.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting or training junior inspectors is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle or a similar ERP/manufacturing system is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, sit, bend, and reach throughout the workday and frequently lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 40 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Visual acuity, with correction if needed, sufficient to perform required dimensional, cosmetic, and workmanship inspections.
