Position Summary
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing and assembly operations in a regulated production environment. This role is responsible for supervising production staff, planning and assigning work, implementing company policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety, GMP, and Food Safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and support daily production schedules to meet output goals
- Assign personnel to production lines based on knowledge and skillset
- Communicate with line staff regarding scheduling, performance, quality concerns, and operational issues
- Monitor quality control procedures and operational efficiency
- Review production documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Coordinate production handoffs between shifts for seamless operations
- Train, develop, and motivate staff to meet performance and safety standards
- Conduct employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed
- Supervise and participate in line setup, sanitation, operation, and routine maintenance
- Troubleshoot production equipment issues and escalate when necessary
- Ensure production lines are supplied with required materials and components
- Collaborate with Quality and Customer Service teams to address production needs
- Track and analyze labor and production reports by department or product
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, FDA, HACCP, SQF, and other regulatory requirements
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production leadership role
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, 5S, or related quality systems preferred
- Experience supervising and motivating production teams
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced production environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MRP systems
- Forklift certification and bilingual skills are a plus
- Warehouse and production setting with varying temperatures
- Exposure to airborne particles, odors, and production machinery
- Required use of PPE including gloves, face mask, hairnet, uniform
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate pallet jacks or forklifts
