Position Summary
The Production Lead oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong electromechanical assembly experience, solid systems understanding, and proven troubleshooting and servicing skills.
While the system is not highly complex to manufacture, it requires precision and manual dexterity. The ideal candidate has significant experience working directly with engineering teams and operating in regulated manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support daily production activities to meet targets and deadlines
- Oversee component receiving, inspections, labeling, and inventory organization
- Perform hands-on electromechanical assembly of systems and subassemblies
- Interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Troubleshoot and service electromechanical systems
- Monitor processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues
- Support training and development of production staff
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
Required Qualifications
- Strong electromechanical assembly experience
- Solid understanding of integrated mechanical and electrical systems
- Proven troubleshooting and servicing experience
- Significant experience working directly with engineering teams
- Experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably Class II medical devices
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
- High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail
Working Conditions
- Extended standing and movement within production environment
- Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Occasional travel may be required on an infrequent basis
