Product Specialist System Analyst (Group Benefits)

Overview
The Product Specialist is responsible for working with health insurance stakeholders to improve technology platforms. This resource is the business SME for insurance quoting, insurance enrollment, and insurance renewals) specifically for the technology team. Primary POC for business groups on technology platform issues.

• You understand small group health insurance sales and implementation processes, including quoting, enrollment, underwriting, case submission, ongoing eligibility, and renewals.
• You love to collaborate and naturally build trusting relationships.  You are comfortable communicating with technical developers, business stakeholders, and external clients in whatever form is comfortable for them (in person, phone, email, chat, etc.). 
• You are customer-focused and sales-minded -use your analytical mind to solve problems at the root cause and overcome objections in sales meetings.  
• You have an ownership mindset and work towards solutions that support a long-term vision.  You are comfortable with change and believe in continuous improvement.  You have a focus on quality and accuracy, and you spend time in the details if needed. 
• You are organized, and you are able to prioritize and keep track of multiple work streams.

Experience

• Group health insurance sales and implementation, including quoting, enrollment, case submission, underwriting, benefit administration, eligibility and renewals
• Working knowledge of technology that supports business work stream from general agency, broker, employer, and employee points of view
• Managing diverse stakeholders, analytical, presentation skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions

• Familiarity with software management and database practices or change management practices

Responsibilities

• Group Benefits Health Insurance implementation. Enrollment Analysis. Insurance Quotes/Sales Quotes Analysis
• Build and maintain relationships throughout various groups within the company (sales, operations, etc.) and act as a point of contact for business groups. 
• Understand business and technology workflows and how they support the overall business goals.
• Support business groups in both sales presentations and adoption of Connect platforms and processes.
• Work with stakeholders to understand pain points in technology workflows and their underlying root causes. 
• Manage stakeholder expectations and champion solutions with a view towards the Amwins long-term vision.  Help stakeholders differentiate between wants and needs.
• Collaborate with team members and vendors to generate and design practical solutions, prioritizing work when necessary. 
• Help with user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed. Identify areas of improvement and contribute to product roadmaps. 
• Collaborate on assessments of vendor solutions. Create, maintain, and/or support documentation that meets the needs of relevant stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date on health insurance quoting and enrollment requirements and needs in relevant states.
• Work remotely on Pacific Time working hours, with travel and work hour flexibility as required.

Salary:  86k-$123K. Travel as required (usually once/twice annual).
Location: Ideally in PST or MST time zones. Optional for resource that wants to be onsite, but 100% remote otherwise.
