Title: Senior Product Specialist / Product Manager – Policy Administration
Compensation:$80.00
Type: Contract (24-month engagement)

Responsibilities
- Evaluate current policy administration capabilities and identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
- Drive strategy and roadmap planning for underwriting and policy management platforms.
- Lead product initiatives through the full lifecycle including discovery, requirements gathering, prioritization, implementation, testing, and rollout.
- Partner with business, operations, underwriting, and technology teams to align solutions with organizational goals and long-term architecture standards.
- Create and maintain product documentation including business requirements, user stories, workflow definitions, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with Agile development teams to ensure successful execution of roadmap initiatives.
- Monitor product performance metrics, adoption trends, and operational KPIs to support data-driven decision making.
- Gather stakeholder and customer feedback to improve user experience and optimize product functionality.
- Support experimentation initiatives, process optimization efforts, and continuous product enhancements.
- Present updates, recommendations, and roadmap changes to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior product team members as needed.
- Promote product understanding across internal teams through training, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, business analysis, or underwriting systems leadership roles.
- Strong background working with policy administration systems within insurance environments, preferably workers’ compensation or P&C insurance.
- Experience leading enterprise software or digital transformation initiatives.
- Solid understanding of underwriting operations, policy lifecycle management, and product development practices.
- Experience working within Agile and SDLC environments.
- Ability to translate business objectives into scalable product strategies and technical requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience leveraging analytics and reporting tools to guide product decisions and measure success.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled business solutions and maintaining human-in-the-loop operational oversight.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities.
- Experience with tools such as Tableau, SQL, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar analytics platforms is a plus.
