Yoh has an exciting contract opportunity for a Senior Product Specialist / Product Manager to join our insurance industry client in a long-term engagement supporting policy administration modernization initiatives. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong experience in underwriting systems, product strategy, and enterprise policy platforms within the workers’ compensation or broader P&C insurance space.

Title: Senior Product Specialist / Product Manager – Policy Administration
Compensation:$80.00
Type: Contract (24-month engagement)

Location: Remote or hybrid options may be available

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate current policy administration capabilities and identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
  • Drive strategy and roadmap planning for underwriting and policy management platforms.
  • Lead product initiatives through the full lifecycle including discovery, requirements gathering, prioritization, implementation, testing, and rollout.
  • Partner with business, operations, underwriting, and technology teams to align solutions with organizational goals and long-term architecture standards.
  • Create and maintain product documentation including business requirements, user stories, workflow definitions, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with Agile development teams to ensure successful execution of roadmap initiatives.
  • Monitor product performance metrics, adoption trends, and operational KPIs to support data-driven decision making.
  • Gather stakeholder and customer feedback to improve user experience and optimize product functionality.
  • Support experimentation initiatives, process optimization efforts, and continuous product enhancements.
  • Present updates, recommendations, and roadmap changes to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior product team members as needed.
  • Promote product understanding across internal teams through training, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, business analysis, or underwriting systems leadership roles.
  • Strong background working with policy administration systems within insurance environments, preferably workers’ compensation or P&C insurance.
  • Experience leading enterprise software or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of underwriting operations, policy lifecycle management, and product development practices.
  • Experience working within Agile and SDLC environments.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into scalable product strategies and technical requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leveraging analytics and reporting tools to guide product decisions and measure success.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled business solutions and maintaining human-in-the-loop operational oversight.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Experience with tools such as Tableau, SQL, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar analytics platforms is a plus.
