Product Development Scientist

Product Development Scientist needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Scientific’s client located in Richmond, Virginia.

This position is for a major pharmaceutical company and requires a Bachelor of Science degree in an applicable scientific discipline with at least 2 – 3 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities
The primary job function is to support technical strategies in product development focused on the delivery of innovation in the Consumer Healthcare network. This role is familiar with aspects of formulation development and supporting documentation for OTC drug and natural health products.

• Will perform technical writing and support of product development and regulatory submissions.
• Will perform scientific lab work in support of innovation and development of consumer health products.
• Maintains precise experimental records.
• Ensures compliance with safety, quality and GMP regulations
• Assist with analytical testing.
• Work in product development with supervision and training, as necessary.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical, Nutritional or related science with at least 3 years of experience in related scientific field
• Formulation development experience preferred.
• Analytical chemistry experience preferred.
