Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using Java frameworks like Spring Boot or Micronaut.
- Lead migration and new application development of Java-based solutions, with a focus on async programming and high-throughput systems.
- Build and support microservices architecture aligned with microservices best practices.
- Create and optimize relational database models and data pipelines using PostgreSQL.
- Implement robust RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
- Apply your cloud expertise by deploying, scaling, and supporting solutions on AWS.
- Support key data and analytics initiatives, including data integration and Snowflake-related projects.
- Collaborate in Agile teams, providing technical guidance and engaging in design discussions.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 3–5 years in technical leadership.
- Proven expertise in Java development, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Strong PostgreSQL experience with data modeling and engineering skills.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud environment.
- Recent experience working with Kafka and async programming in Java.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, API design, and service integration.
- Experience with automated testing (JUnit, mocking, BDD).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team setting.
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools like GitHub Copilot.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
- Background in financial services industry.
