Personal Care Project Manager

Yoh is hiring an Project Manager for our Los Angeles, CA client. In the Project Manager role , you will lead the end-to-end execution of all product development through approvals.  They are seeking a highly motivated project manager to serve as the central hub coordinating timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional teams to bring new products to life.

Compensation: $80/k – 90/k (based upon experience)

Job Functions

• Project Management:
• Own and manage multiple product launch timelines from concept through formula  approvals.
• Review development briefs with R&D/sales/customer
• Ensures the information regarding the new briefs and redirects are communicated to the cross functional teams
• Create timeline and maintain to ensure they are achievable
• Lead kick-off meetings and project updates, clearly outlining roles, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Establish and maintain centralized shared folders for new clients and projects
• Track milestones, identify risks / delays, provide New Launch Risk Assessment and proactively communicate solutions to leadership.
• Maintain and update all project tracking tools, calendars, and folders.
• Act as the main liaison between internal stakeholders and clients to align project expectations and drive timely execution.
• Product Development Oversight:
• Support formulation evaluation and technical reviews alongside R&D.
• Coordinate sample submissions with Prelim IL’s while ensuring target costs are respected and collect feedback from clients and internal teams.
• Provide TAF (Testing Approval Form) and work RND and AM’s for execution.
• Ensure all required documentation is organized and accessible (e.g., ILs, COAs, SDS, stability data, pricing, testing).
• Client & Cross-Functional Communication:
• Interface directly with customers on timelines, development status, and testing updates (TAF, sample reviews).
• Route samples and supporting documents for review, approval, and regulatory submission.
• Initiate and provide feedback on test fills.
• Operational Excellence:
• Identify process gaps or roadblocks and recommend solutions to improve speed-to-market.
• Ensure all development documentation is submitted on time for regulatory and client review.
• Help promote company capabilities to current and prospective clients through innovation and project excellence.  
  Education, Licensure and/or Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the personal care, beauty, or CPG industry.
  • Strong familiarity with product development processes(especially formulation, testing, and documentation).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technically savvy with experience using project tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with clients and cross-functional partners.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive in managing dependencies and solving problems.
  • Ability to balance creative product development needs with operational execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
