Operational Excellence Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ
We are seeking an assertive and experienced Operational Excellence Manager to support ongoing manufacturing operations with a focus on identifying inefficiencies, driving cost-saving opportunities, and improving team productivity. This person will operate independently to analyze operations, surface improvement areas, and provide actionable recommendations—without waiting on senior management to initiate change.
The role combines elements of continuous improvement, factory floor insight, and strategic oversight. Ideal candidates will have deep manufacturing experience, an instinct for solving problems on the ground, and a proactive mindset.

Scope:
• Monitor day-to-day manufacturing operations and identify inefficiencies in processes, resource allocation, and labor usage.
• Provide on-the-ground operational visibility to leadership by gathering insights from the plant and communicating back to internal teams.
• Develop data-backed recommendations to streamline production, optimize workforce utilization, and reduce waste.
• Act as a trusted internal operations advisor—capable of challenging assumptions, improving workflows, and asking “why” when something doesn’t make sense.
• Work closely with partner teams (e.g., Magna) to understand and report on activities impacting productivity, timelines, or costs.
• Support implementation of lean methodologies, cost-reduction plans, and operational KPIs.

Required:
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, factory management, or process optimization.
• Proven track record in identifying bottlenecks, cost drivers, and operational inefficiencies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to act independently and make quick decisions.
• Understanding of vendor and partner dynamics, including contract manufacturing relationships.
• Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where responsibilities shift day to day.
• Clear communicator who can report findings and recommendations to both executive and on-the-ground teams.

Estimated Min Rate: $30.00
Estimated Max Rate: $45.00
