Occupational Health Registered Nurses

 
Occupational Health Registered Nurse needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Ontario, CAN. The Health Center Nurse is responsible for providing emergency care, first aid and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses within standing orders. This position works toward the prevention of illness and injury, protection from work related and environmental hazards, and promotion and restoration of health. The individual will maintain accurate medical records related to legal, regulatory and reporting requirements and should be motivated to work independently.
 
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm AND Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-11pm, and Friday 2:30pm-10pm (applicant needs to be available for all shifts)
Duration: 7 months with possible extension or direct placement
Pay:$33-38/hr
 
What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provision of first aid and medical treatments
• Communicating safety concerns to the appropriate managers
• Maintaining team member health records and preparing accident reports
• Providing pre-employment medicals/physicals, including hearing and vision screening, and health and fitness advice
• Assisting injured employees returning to work from medical leave
• Contacting doctors and/or hospitals, as necessary, to arrange further treatment
• Keeping up to date with legal and professional changes associated with occupational health and safety

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• RN Diploma/Associate degree required, BSN or BS preferred
• Valid state nursing license required
• 3+ years Nursing experience. ER, ICU, or Occupational Health experience preferred
• Certification as Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) or Occupational Health Nursing Specialist (COHN-S) preferred
• Certified in Healthcare Provider CPR/AED
• Valid Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
