Nurse Practitioner or PA-C - Primary Care / Occ Health

Occupational Health / Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant  needed for a temp contract  opportunity with Yoh’s well-known client located in Elko, NV. $1,000 BONUS  offered for completing the entirety of the assignment! Starts ASAP to end of March 2026.

Average of up to 4 patients per hour (both in person and telehealth visits). They offer occupational and primary care services for employees of a large corporation, including their families of all ages (newborn and up).

--> SHIFTS ARE ROTATING 4/10's:  Monday-Thursday/Tuesday-Friday 8:00am to 7:00pm and 2 scheduled weekends per month, 8:00am to 2:00pm.


Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Active/unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in state of Nevada
• Current prescription authority and DEA required
• Minimum (2) years' experience as a provider
• Preferred experience in: Occupational/Employee Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Corrections, Primary Care, Internal Medicine, or Family Practice type setting

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assessment, triage, treatment, and education
• Injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management
• Perform onsite physical assessments (annual, pre-placement, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty)
• Ambulatory care such as treating sore throats, ear aches, rashes, pink eye, etc.
• Provide medical testing such as spirometry, EKGs, pulmonary function, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, vision and hearing screening and perform limited interpretation of tests
• Provide onsite testing for strep pharyngitis, UTI, influenza, hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia
• Develop patient care plans, record progress, and ensure continuity of care
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe or recommend treatments including medications and therapies

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Nationally Certified (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA)
• Current BLS/CPR (hands on courses only - no online accepted)
• NPI
• Computer skills with previous experience using EMR (Epic a plus!)
• Yearly TB Test or QuantiFERON Gold
• Interpersonal skills necessary to interview, teach and counsel patients and interact with clients/employees
