This is a busier clinic seeing about 10-12 patients a day (both in person and telehealth visits). They offer occupational and primary care services for employees of a large corporation, including their families ages 2+. Mostly primary care services with some occupational health.
--> SHIFTS: Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:00am to 7:00pm (with lunch from 1pm to 2pm)
Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Active/unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in state of California
- Current prescription authority required and DEA highly preferred
- DOT Medical Examiner Certification
- Minimum (2) years' experience as a provider
- Prior experience in: Occupational/Employee Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Corrections, Primary Care, Internal Medicine, or Family Practice type setting
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
- Provide first-aid medical treatment
- Trigger point meds, immunizations, and travel vaccines
- Perform onsite physical assessments (pre-placement, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty)
- DOT Medical Exams
- Ambulatory care such as treating sore throats, ear aches, rashes, pink eye, etc.
- Provide medical testing such as spirometry, EKGs, pulmonary function, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, vision and hearing screening and perform limited interpretation of tests
- Provide onsite testing for strep pharyngitis, UTI, influenza, hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia
- Treat work-related injuries
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- If Nurse Practitioner, must also have active/unrestricted Registered Nurse license in California
- Nationally Certified (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA)
- Current BLS/CPR (hands on courses only - only online not accepted)
- NPI
- Computer skills with previous experience using EMR (Epic and/or OHM a plus!)
- Yearly TB Test or QuantiFERON Gold
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interview, teach and counsel patients and interact with clients/employers
