Nurse Practitioner (General)

Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant needed immediately for a contract work opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Dublin, VA.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30 pm

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Evaluate and treat all injuries and illnesses in an efficient and professional manner within the scope of practice and consistent with clinical nursing guidelines.
• Examine and develop treatment plans for injured employees
• Perform pre-employment physicals and DOT physicals, as necessary.
• Triage of non-occupational complaints
• Collaborate with outside resources for program development, such as healthcare providers, third-party administrators, legal advisors, medical director, regulatory agencies, etc.
• Performs occupational and health screening tests as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Conducts appropriate laboratory tests and quality control procedures.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:  

• Master’s degree required with at least two (2) years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in occupational health, family practice, ambulatory or emergency department.
• NP state licensure required
• Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Certification in Emergency Nursing, or Certificate in Case Management preferred.
