Night Shift Manufacturing Technician

Position Title: Manufacturing Technician (Night Shift)
Shift:  7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (2-2-3 rotating schedule)
(shift moves to 3rd shift 11:00pm to 7:30am Mon to Fri in July)
Pay:  $18.98/Hr.
Overtime:  Available after training completion

Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for operating high-speed equipment used in the production and packaging of BacT/ALERT bottles, preparing liquid reagents in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This role may involve setup, inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of equipment. The technician will complete production batches and associated documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate high-speed, often automated, equipment using HMI/SCADA interfaces.
• Perform chemical weighing and reagent formulation.
• Follow Manufacturing Directions and SOPs to execute production activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of batch records and documentation.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with cGMP.
• Perform computer-based tasks and other duties as assigned by management.

Education:

• High School or GED

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

• Ability to climb stairs and lift 20–40 lbs. regularly.
• Stand for extended periods (8–12 hour shifts).
• Operate motorized pallet jacks.
• Handle chemicals, antibiotics, and potentially hazardous materials.
• Work in environments with strong odors and wear PPE (e.g., hairnet, gloves, lab coat, safety glasses, etc.).
• No makeup or jewelry allowed in certain manufacturing areas.
• Willingness to work overtime.
