Night Registered Nurse - Occupational Health

Night Shift Occupational Health Registered Nurse  needed for a  contract (potential temp-to-hire!)   opportunity with Yoh’s well-known client located in Madison, AL.


The clinic offers occupational, primary, and preventative care for employees. Very similar to working in an urgent care but you are only seeing adults and not as fast paced. Must be comfortable working by yourself as you likely will be the only medical professional onsite during this shift.
--> Monday - Friday 6:30pm to 3:00am


Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of Alabama
• Minimum (3) years' experience as a Nurse - occupational health, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
• Previous experience highly recommended: Employee Health, Emergency Room, Urgent Care, Primary Care, Corrections, School Nursing, and/or Family Medicine type setting
• Recent clinical experience and strong first-aid skills

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assessment, triage, treatment, and education for sick or injured employees
• Implement and monitor transitional duty programs for injured workers
• Promote wellness/wellbeing initiatives at the site and participate in follow-up care
• Assist with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
• Provide medical testing such as: EKG, audiometry, spirometry, drug screens, vision testing, pulmonary function, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, and perform limited interpretation of tests
• Participate in plant safety and ergonomic programs
• Documentation using EMR (EPIC)
• Administer medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice; assist First Responders in medical emergencies

 

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• BLS/CPR certified (hands on courses only - no online accepted)
• ACLS certified
• Yearly TB (PPD) or QuantiFERON Gold test
• Passionate about promoting health and wellbeing in the workplace
