Network Engineer
Our Winston-Salem based client is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network architecture, security, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and support LAN/WAN/MAN networks and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless systems.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues using tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, and WhatsUp Gold.
• Ensure network security through best practices, including firewall configuration, encryption, and compliance auditing.
• Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, procedures, and network diagrams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and technical requirements.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Cisco CCNA (required); CCNP (preferred).
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL, and the OSI model.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco hardware, F5 GTM/LTM, and VPN technologies (Ivanti preferred).
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Visual Basic, Secure CRT).
• Experience with AWS and Azure networking (VPC, VNet, TGW, ALB, NLB, SG, NSG).
• Familiarity with VMware and VMware NSX.
• Knowledge of RSA security products and Checkpoint firewalls.
• Ability to lift and install network equipment (up to 25 lbs).

Preferred Tools & Technologies:

• Microsoft Office and Visio for documentation.
• Network monitoring and performance tools.
• Wireless network management systems.
