Medical Assistant - Primary Care/Occ Health

Primary Care Medical Assistant  needed for a full-time temp-to-hire   contract opportunity with Yoh’s occupational health client located in Maple Grove, MN.

The clinic offers occupational, primary, and preventative care for employees and their families, ages 2+. Looking for someone to cover front & back office. Great opportunity for those looking for a stable, long-term position!!
--> Shifts:   Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm and Wednesdays 10:00am to 7:00pm (with an hour lunch).
 

Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma
• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA) highly preferred
• Must be comfortable with blood draws/labs
• Positive, can-do attitude

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Greet patients and check them in/out
• Room patients
• Vitals and injections
• Answer phones and schedule appointments
• Front office responsibilities such as: charting (using EPIC), call backs, sending patients messages, faxing, etc.
• Provide medical testing such as EKGs, phlebotomy, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, vision and hearing screening
• Immunizations
• Maintain employee health records (using EPIC)
• First-aid

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• BLS/CPR certified (hands on courses only - no online accepted)
• Yearly TB (PPD) or QuantiFeron Gold test
• Must have previous experience using EPIC
• Strong organizational skills and good at multi-tasking
