Yoh has an opportunity for a possible contract to hire Certified Medical Assistant
to join our client in Cranford, NJ
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; one Saturday per month (8:00–11:00 AM)
Contract:
3-month contract-to-hire
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. This role focuses on patient support and clinical assistance, with opportunities for training in additional procedures. If you have strong communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients and record vital signs accurately.
- Assist with patient flow and ensure a positive experience.
- Train to perform EKGs and basic diagnostic testing.
- Conduct phone follow-ups and communicate results clearly.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- National certification in Medical Assisting from a approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable.
- CPR (BLS for the Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on” evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.
- Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to learn new procedures (EKGs, basic testing).
- CPR Certified
- No phlebotomy required.
- Reliable and detail-oriented with excellent patient interaction skills.
