Medical Assistant - Front Office

Front Office Medical Assistant  needed for a  temporary full-time contract opportunity at Yoh’s well-known client located in Duarte, CA.

This position is in the employee health department where they assist with medical screenings for new and existing employees. This position is anticipating to only be front office.
--> Shifts are Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. Job is likely until October with potential for extension.
 

Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma
• Previous experience using EMR
• Positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and must be a team player
• Looking for a responsible, friendly, and helpful employee

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Greet patients and check them in/out
• Answer phones and schedule appointments
• Outreach to employees for follow-up visits
• Maintain employee health records: setting up medical charts, pulling results, and entering them into chart
• Additional administrative responsibilities as-needed

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Strong organizational skills and good at multi-tasking
• Active CPR/BLS
• (2) Step TB test or QuantiFERON Gold test
• Immunization/titer records for MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, and Hep B series
• Yearly Flu shot (during Flu season)
