We have a contract opportunity for a Material Handler Assistant in Hazelwood Missouri. This is a contract to hire position supporting a world class Medical Diagnostic Device manufacturer.
Starting Pay:$16.50/Hr.
Requirement:
We are looking for experience with data entry, familiarity with computer operations, and with shipping/receiving. Someone who can write professional communications.
Hours:
8:00am - 4:30 pm with some overtime
Summary:
Material Handlers are required to prepare orders for shipment, cycle count inventory, locate material quickly and efficiently, assist in receiving material, and other warehousing functions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assure quality, accuracy, and compliance with GMP’s in shipping, receiving, and the warehouse operation, while maintaining a timely throughput of operations
- Move material to storage areas with equipment, and stack, store the material in the appropriate area
- Pick, pack, and manifest orders for shipment
- Verify freight and shipments for accuracy and damage
- Monitors warehouse space requirements and assist with maintaining warehouse utilization
- Receiving, data entry and cycle counting
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Warehouse knowledge, shipping, and receiving experience
Skills and Qualifications:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use material handling equipment such as a floor jack, hand truck, and order picker
- Forklift experience
- Computer knowledge. Ability to utilize Outlook and perform light data entry in Excel
- SAP experience is a plus but not necessary
- work on ladders and stand for extended periods of time
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Climb, bend, walk, and work in various temperature ranges.
Estimated Min Rate: $16.50
Estimated Max Rate: $16.50
