Seeking a Market Risk Associate Director with a strong quantitative background. This role focuses on equity market risk analysis and requires expertise in quantitative risk models such as VaR, Monte Carlo analysis, and Expected Shortfall. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience and a deep understanding of market risk, clearing, and settlement processes.
This is a direct-hire, hybrid position that requires 3 days on-site/week in Jersey City, NJ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of risk professionals, overseeing market risk functions.
- Conduct quantitative risk analysis and develop risk models to assess market exposures.
- Monitor market conditions and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with global teams.
- Ensure compliance with risk management policies and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize SQL, Power BI, or similar data analysis tools to enhance risk reporting and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, or a quantitative field preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in market risk with a strong quantitative focus.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Equity market risk experience preferred; other market risk backgrounds considered.
- Experience in clearing and settlement is a plus.

Estimated Max Rate: $175000.00
