This is an onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity with multiple openings. The team is moving quickly and is looking for candidates with hands-on electronics, mechatronics, automation, military electronics, industrial electronics, electro-mechanical troubleshooting, biomedical equipment, field service, controls, or complex technical equipment troubleshooting experience. Prior cyclotron or radiopharmaceutical experience is not required. Training is provided. Candidates must have strong hands-on technical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, reliability, and the ability to learn highly specialized equipment systems in a regulated manufacturing environment. Candidates with general electrical, mechanical, maintenance, manufacturing, or field service backgrounds may be considered if they also have direct experience troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems, automation, controls, circuit-level issues, diagnostic equipment, or complex electro-mechanical equipment.
Pay Rate:$25/hr
Schedule:
- This is a 24/7/365 operation.
- Current schedule is 12-hour shifts, 7 days on / 7 days off.
- Current rotation starts Tuesday and runs through Monday.
- Quarterly rotation between day shift and night shift required.
- Overtime pay applies as part of this schedule.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform troubleshooting for cyclotron operations and support equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs of cyclotrons and support equipment.
- Support advanced maintenance and repair activities under general direction.
- Perform scheduled start-ups and shutdowns of cyclotrons.
- Perform target loading, installation, and transport activities.
- Operate and monitor cyclotrons and support systems during target irradiation.
- Monitor cyclotrons and support systems during standby conditions.
- Document cyclotron performance, operations data, maintenance activities, and repair work.
- Work closely with Cyclotron Chemistry and production teams to support daily production activities.
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and quality standards, including FDA, cGMP, NRC, ISO, USP, and related requirements.
Education / Experience:
- Two-year degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
- Equivalent electronics, automation, military electronics, field service, or hands-on technical training may be considered.
- Hands-on electronics, mechatronics, automation, controls, industrial electronics, biomedical equipment, electro-mechanical troubleshooting, field service, or complex technical equipment troubleshooting experience required.
- Experience using diagnostic tools, meters, schematics, service manuals, troubleshooting procedures, or test equipment preferred.
- Experience with circuit boards, power supplies, sensors, relays, motors, control systems, automation systems, electrical cabinets, or complex equipment diagnostics preferred.
- Experience with PLCs, logic circuits, VFDs, RF systems, high-voltage equipment, analog/digital circuits, vacuum systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, or manufacturing equipment is a plus.
- Experience with component-level electronics troubleshooting, soldering, bench testing, or circuit board repair is strongly preferred but not required.
- Experience working around ionizing radiation sources is a plus but not required.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical systems across multiple equipment areas.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures, document work accurately, and complete extensive on-the-job and compliance training.
- Strong reliability, communication, safety awareness, and team orientation required.
