MANAGER, INTERNATIONAL MARKETING ANALYTICS & INSIGHTSLocation: Culver City, CA

The International Theatrical Marketing Analytics & Insights team at Sony Pictures Entertainment is looking for a Manager who will help to transform audience and campaign data into actionable insights that directly influence marketing strategy, creative development, and audience targeting for our theatrical releases. We’re seeking a candidate who is technically fluent, insight-driven, and passionate about movies. Ideal candidates will bring analytical rigor, curiosity about entertainment and pop culture, and a desire to shape campaigns that resonate globally.


KEY RESPONSIBILIIES
Strategic Analysis & Insights
  • Lead analyses of audience behavior, creative effectiveness, and campaign performance across international markets.
  • Apply trend analysis, social listening, and historical benchmarks to assess engagement and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Partner with regional marketing teams to contextualize insights and deliver actionable recommendations that inform early campaign strategy.
  • Synthesize cross-market learnings to identify best practices and emerging opportunities.
  • Deliver insights through clear, visual storytelling — dashboards, summaries, and presentations for global and regional stakeholders.
 
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Coordination
  • Collaborate with international and domestic teams to align on reporting frameworks and key performance metrics.
  • Oversee analytical projects across global territories, working with internal data science, media, and social teams as well as external vendors.
  • Manage international data requests and ad hoc analyses, ensuring insights are communicated clearly and polished for global stakeholders.
  • Consolidate findings across markets into executive-ready deliverables
 
Social Listening & Audience Intelligence
  • Monitor global social conversation trends around trailers, milestones, and campaigns, summarizing global and local insights.
  • Enhance international listening frameworks by exploring region-specific tools and improving data quality across EMEA, LATAM, and APAC.
  • Integrate sentiment, engagement, and demographic data into campaign health assessments and executive reporting.
  • Perform quality checks (SQL, Excel) to ensure accuracy in reporting and insights.
 
 
Qualifications & Skills
  • 5–7 years of experience in marketing analytics, consumer insights, or entertainment research, ideally with exposure to international theatrical or streaming markets.
  • Proven experience collaborating with EMEA, LATAM, and/or APAC teams within the entertainment or media industry.
  • Strong understanding of audience segmentation, campaign measurement, and social/digital media KPIs.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Tableau/Power BI (or equivalent visualization tools).
  • Hands-on experience with social listening and audience insights platforms (e.g., Brandwatch, Netbase, Meltwater, Sprinklr).
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling insights for executive and creative audiences.
  • Skilled in project management and capable of balancing multiple global priorities with precision and polish.
  • Familiarity with international market research practices and regional audience nuances.
  • Understanding of basic statistical concepts and interest in emerging AI and data science tools.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships or mentoring junior analysts a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Python or similar analytical tools preferred.
  • Passion for film, global markets, and creative storytelling informed by data.




Estimated Min Rate: $47.78
Estimated Max Rate: $68.26
