We have an immediate full-time direct hire opportunity for a Field Service Engineer in Philadelphia. The client is a world class international manufacturing company. This position requires significant travel up to 95%.
Summary:
Install and service the company’s machine tools products. Assist sales personnel and train customer personnel. Cross-train on both Metal Forming and Metal Cutting products.
Compensation:$30.00 - $35.00/Hr.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Install Machine Tools Products:
- Install and demonstrate new machines, including electrical or mechanical check-outs, setup, tooling, operation, and programming.
- Prepare and submit demonstration reports accurately and promptly.
- Service Machine Tools Products:
- Perform basic electrical/electronic, mechanical, or hydraulic problem diagnosis and repair in customer plants during the warranty period.
- Cross-train on mechanical, electrical, and electronic maintenance.
- Advise and assist customers with operations and programming problems.
- Perform maintenance work and provide basic assistance needed by customers following the warranty period.
- Advise and assist in the selection and ordering of tools and repair parts.
- Prepare and submit service time and expense reports.
- Upgrade personal capability and train customer personnel:
- Receive additional training on the company’s products by:
- Attending schools, seminars, and conferences
- Taking recommended training courses
- Train customer personnel in processing, tooling, operating, and servicing of the company’s machine tools products.
- Receive additional training on the company’s products by:
- Assist Sales Personnel:
- Recommend machine tools and accessory equipment to potential buyers.
- Report sales opportunities.
- Advise in matters involving machine application, tooling, and estimating.
- Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and laser systems
- Knowledge of CNC equipment (FANUC a plus)
Education and/or Experience:
Associate degree in a related field or other engineering discipline preferred. Technical school or military certification is acceptable. Experience in machine tools maintenance or related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
Estimated Min Rate: $30.00
Estimated Max Rate: $35.00
