Logistics Representative

Onsite Logistics Representative needed for a 12-month contract to hire opportunity with Yoh’s client located in South Charleston, West Virginia.

Pay Rate: $25 to $30 per hour

What You Will Be Doing:
 

• This position is responsible for the completion of all functional requirements making daily use of SAP to accomplish business plans and satisfy all customer requirements.
• The responsibilities are achieved without jeopardizing company values, environmental, with minimal direct supervision, clear and concise verbal and written communications and effective organization of work.
• Performs day-to-day Logistics Operations which includes the accountability for the planning and scheduling of transportation equipment and finished goods inventory in support of the business demand utilizing various reporting databases; SAP, Scale Soft, Lab Manager, and SHIPCSX rail management systems in the successful completion of the job functions.

 

What You Need to Bring to the Table: 

• Works with Plant Production personnel and Plant Operators
• Effective communication with Truck Carriers and CSX Railroad staff
• Adhere to shipping requirements with Distribution, R&D and Laboratory
• Recommend transportation changes to accommodate customer requirements
• Data entry into computer-based information systems
• Post Goods Invoice (PGI) Truck and Railcar Shipments
• Schedule and prepare Truck and Railcar shipment document packages
• Acts as back-up for truck and railcar coordinator during staff vacation
• Maintain Office Supplies and Materials
• General office supplies
• Material and Product Tags

 
Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
 

• Strong knowledge of SAP
• Strong time management skills
